Today's Foot Patrol |
||
|
Good afternoon Alcester North Residents,
I spent some time on foot patrol around Studley today and it reminded me why neighbourhood policing matters.
In the space of an hour, I spoke to a few residents, checked in with local businesses, said hello to people out walking their dogs, and even got some useful information about issues that had been worrying members of the community. Nothing dramatic. No blue lights. Just conversations.
It might not sound exciting, but it's often those everyday chats that help us understand what's really going on in an area and where we need to focus our attention.
A little fact about Studley - despite its size today, it actually grew around a medieval monastery founded over 850 years ago. People have been building a community here for centuries, and it still has that strong community spirit now.
So thank you to everyone who stopped to say hello today. If you see me out and about on patrol, don't be afraid to grab me for a chat. It's one of the best parts of the job.
Take care and as always, stay safe.
